Semi-Custom Cabinets
For Semi-custom cabinets the base design is already taken care of. This means that our customers can skip over the time to develop their own setup, and instead choose from an already existing template for their cabinets. Once the template is decided upon they can choose from an assortment of different colors and materials to make their semi-custom cabinets feel more personalized. We also have various upgrades that can be added to the design to make them even more applicable to your space.

Countertops
While countertops are more often found in kitchens, there are other areas of the home or business building where having an extra, sturdy place to store items or prepare food or other things can be very helpful. At St George Flooring we specialize in the installation of two different kinds of countertops: granite and quartz.
Granite countertops
Granite countertops are great for people who are looking for a distinct, yet genuine feeling countertop. Granite countertops are all natural. They come from quarries where they are mined and cut into slabs. Each granite countertop is unique, and features varying patterns of color and veining that will be different from all the rest.
As appearance goes, granite comes in a wide variety of base colors with other colors that run like veins through the larger slab. It is also possible that different mineral deposits might exist within the granite slab that will add to its unique composition and coloring.
Is granite durable?
Yes. Granite is actively used in kitchen and bathroom countertops specifically because it is durable against heat, water, scratches, and even stains.
Does granite have any special maintenance requirements?
Yes. While it is infrequent, granite countertops do require a periodic sealing treatment for them to continue to properly hold up against stains. However, this a fairly simple process, and one that if done correctly makes further special maintenance measures unnecessary.
How much does a granite countertop cost?
While usually found in the mid-range to high-range cost options, the price of a granite countertop is based, in part, on the individual countertop. Remember that each one is unique, so different factors like stone rarity, where it is from, and how difficult it will be to install are all taken into account when calculating the final price.
Quartz countertops
Unlike granite, which is a natural stone, quartz countertops are considered engineered stone. They are made by combining natural quartz crystals with resin and different pigments within a mold to create the proper slab for the countertop.
Because they are man made, the patterns and look of a quartz countertop can be unique or an exact copy of another. Generally, they are created to mimic the appearance of other types of stone like marble and granite, but they can be made to resemble virtually anything.
Is quartz durable?
Yes. Quartz is very durable to heat, scratches and stains.
Does quartz require any special maintenance measures?
No. One benefit of quartz over granite is that there are no special maintenance measures like sealing that needs to be done. Additionally, quartz countertops are non-porous so that they are easier to clean, and less likely to harbor bacteria.
How much do quartz countertops cost?
The price of a quartz countertop depends a lot on different factors like color, brand and design, but the range can be anywhere from easily affordable, to comparable to mid to high-range granite countertops.
